Tottenham Hotspur news Twitter account @TheSpursExpress caught the attention of some Spurs supporters recently after they posted a tweet sharing some alleged transfer news regarding Napoli forward Arkadiusz Milik.

This post shares some news that originally surfaced via Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport, which has claimed that Napoli may be prepared to sell Milik for a lower transfer fee than the €40m (£35.9m) asking price that they had previously placed on him.

La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Spurs are ‘ready to invest’ in the attacker, whose asking price could be ‘discounted by at least’ €10m (£8.98m).

After @TheSpursExpress shared this alleged news about Milik via a tweet, plenty of Tottenham fans replied to their post to share their thoughts on this potential deal.

Some Tottenham fans replied to this post to share some doubt over the possibility of Milik joining the north London club.

Some Spurs supporters replied to this post to share that they believe the Lilywhites should send Erik Lamela to Napoli as part of a potential deal to sign Milik.

Meanwhile, some Spurs fans shared that they would prefer the north London club to sign other players instead of Milik, with one Spurs fan declaring that they would rather see the club move for Bournemouth attacker Callum Wilson, while another Spurs supporter called for their club to target Milik’s Napoli teammate Dries Mertens instead of the Polish forward.

Would Milik be a good signing for Spurs?

YES

YES

NO

NO

Despite playing fewer league minutes than 10 other Napoli players during the 2019/20 campaign, Milik finished the most recent Serie A season as his club’s top goalscorer in the league, scoring 11 goals in his 26 Serie A appearances

With that in mind, it may be fair to say that Milik made the most of his opportunities during the most recent season and the £28.8m-rated man may not be a bad target for Spurs, who are lacking natural centre forward options at present, outside of £108m-rated forward Harry Kane.
