Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that the Lilywhites have reportedly contacted Mainz about signing Robin Quaison this summer.
According to German news outlet Bild (via Hotspur Related), the north London club have contacted the Bundesliga side about potentially signing the striker this summer. The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign in the German top-flight, despite Die Nullfünfer struggling to a 13th-placed finish, as he contributed 13 goals and two assists in 32 appearances, averaging a solid 6.86 rating (per WhoScored).
It is perhaps no surprise that Jose Mourinho’s side are looking to sign a striker this summer, considering the lack of options the Portuguese manager had available to him last season following the injury suffered by Harry Kane (per The Guardian). Considering that the Swedish international is currently valued at just £9.45 million by Transfermarkt, perhaps he could represent a fairly affordable option for the Lilywhites ahead of next season.
Would Quaison be a good signing for Spurs?
