Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that Gareth Bale has reportedly been made available for just €17 million (£15.4 million) this summer.
According to Spanish news outlet Sport (via Daily Hotspur), the Welsh winger has been made available for just a fraction of his current £25.2 million Transfermarkt value, which has unsurprisingly led to plenty of Lilywhites supporters speculating about whether he could return to the north London club ahead of next season.
The 31-year-old joined Real Madrid from Spurs in a world-record move back in 2013 and has gone on to make 251 appearances for Los Blancos; contributing an impressive 105 goals and 68 assists (per Transfermarkt). The former Southampton man has also helped the Spanish giants to four Champions League trophies during his time with the club, but it seems as if Zinedine Zidane is desperate to see him leave the club this summer.
Do you think it is possible that Bale returns to Spurs this summer?

However, many Spurs fans seem to feel that Bale’s wages would prove to be a big problem.
It’s his £600,000 a week wages that’s the problem not the transfer fee

Wages are impossible for us

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans would love to see Bale return as long as he takes a significant pay cut from what he currently earns at Real Madrid.
