Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported news that the Lilywhites are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey.
According to Sport1 (via Hotspur Related), both Spurs and Everton are interested in signing the 22-year-old, with representatives of both clubs expected to be keeping a close eye on the Jamaican when Peter Bosz’s side take on Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
In the most recent Bundesliga season, the former Genk man managed just five goals and three assists in 22 top-flight appearances, which saw him average a solid, if uninspiring, 6.70 rating (per WhoScored).
The Kingston-born attacker is currently valued at £26.55 million by Transfermarkt, although the report from Sport1 suggests that Die Werkself are hoping for a fee closer to €40 million (£36 million), should he leave the club this summer. Considering the number of wingers already available to Jose Mourinho at Spurs, it would perhaps be a surprise to see the Lilywhites shell out so much for Bailey this summer.
