Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the reported news that the north London club are interested in signing Toulouse midfielder Ibrahim Sangare.

According to journalist Mohamed Toubache-TER, as per the French news outlet GFFN (via TranSPURS), the Lilywhites are ‘very interested’ in signing the Ivory Coast international this summer. The report suggests that Jose Mourinho’s side have been following the 22-year-old for some time and that although the Ligue 2 side do not feel any pressure to sell him, they would hope for a fee between €15-20 million (£13.5-18 million) should the north London club come knocking.

Last season in Ligue 1, the defensive midfielder made 25 appearances, contributing one assist, which saw him average a fairly solid 6.77/10 rating (per WhoScored). Considering Spurs have already secured the signing of fellow midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, it would perhaps be a surprise to see them move for the Toulouse ace as well this summer.

One Spurs fan even compared the midfielder with former Barcelona and Manchester City ace Yaya Toure.

Other Spurs fans just seem excited by Sangare’s potential and feel he could replace some of the midfielders in Jose Mourinho’s squad.

Overall, it seems as if the majority of Spurs fans would love to see their side sign Sangare this summer.
