Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest reported news on Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

The Lilywhites have been regularly linked with a move for the defender in the past but it seems as if the North London club won’t be signing him this summer despite their lack of options at right-back following Kyle Walker-Peters’ departure, with Serge Aurier also looking likely to leave.

In the most recent Premier League season, the English defender struggled to perform for Daniel Farke’s side; contributing no goals and just one assist in 36 top-flight appearances, which saw him average a disappointing 6.55 rating (per WhoScored), so it is perhaps unsurprising to hear that Mourinho is not keen on signing him.

Reaction from Spurs fans to the report on Aarons can be seen in the tweets below.

Other Spurs fans see this is a positive update, but many have been sharing the opinion that he wouldn’t be good enough for the Lilywhites.

Overall, there seems to be a split of opinion amongst Spurs fans as to whether or not Aarons would have been a good signing this summer.
