On the latest episode of the Last Word On Spurs podcast, Ricky Sacks, Jamie Brown and Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas have been discussing the latest goings-on at Tottenham Hotspur, with a focus on some of the transfer deals that could potentially happen during the summer window.

One topic of discussion on the recent podcast, which was titled ‘Summer Transfer Window (Ft. Lyall Thomas)‘, was the future of Danny Rose at Spurs. The 30-year-old suggested in 2019 that he would see out his contract with the north London club before leaving on a free, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United, with rumours circulating that the Toon are keen to make that move permanent ahead of next season.

Which player scored Spurs' first goal of the Premier League campaign?

Here’s what Thomas had to say about the left-back on the podcast:

“Danny will eventually leave Spurs permanently. I think it’s impossible to see him signing another contract, whether that will be this summer or next summer when his contract expires is yet to be seen.”

TIF Thoughts…

Considering Rose was shipped out on loan following a reported fall-out with Jose Mourinho, it would perhaps be a surprise to see him return to Spurs and re-establish himself as a regular in the starting XI next season. Therefore, it will be interesting to see whether the Lilywhites are able to sell him for a fee, rather than losing him on a free transfer at the end of next season when his contract is set to expire.

Do you think Spurs will be able to sell Danny Rose this summer?

The north London club will perhaps be keen to secure a transfer for the £14.4 million-rated man, but whether Newcastle or any other side make an official approach for him, remains to be seen.
