Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a transfer link which has emerged regarding Spurs’ interest in Barcelona’s Emerson.
According to Diario de Sevilla, as cited by Sport Witness, Jose Mourinho’s outfit has been in contact with the Catalan club regarding the defender.
The report states that Spurs have ‘probed’ Barcelona for information on the full-back and the player is ‘on their agenda’ this summer.
This was then relayed to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium faithful on Twitter by Hotspur Related and it had lots of them talking.

Spurs were linked with the player back in May when the same publication stated that Tottenham had ‘asked’ about his availability (via Sport Witness).
Would you be happy if Spurs signed Emerson from Barcelona?

While on loan with Real Betis during the 2019/20 season, the 21-year-old defender delivered a relatively respectable 6.82/10 average rating over 33 La Liga appearances (per WhoScored).
Had the Brazilian earned the same average rating for Spurs in the Premier League, then he would have been their joint-eighth-best performer (per WhoScored).

As can be seen in these responses from Spurs fans, they would clearly be delighted if Mourinho’s outfit was able to sign the Barcelona full-back this summer.
With Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters both being linked with moves away from the London club this summer, Emerson could well be someone the club could bring in to replace one of their potentially departing right-backs.
