Supporters of Tottenham Hotspur have been reacting to a claim which was made by Spanish football expert Alvaro Montero regarding Gareth Bale.
In an interview that appeared to be from Sky Sports News, which had been posted to Twitter by Football Daily, the pundit explained the Welshman’s current situation with Real Madrid.
According to Montero, the former Spurs attacker “wants to return to the Premier League”.
However, it is his belief that there is no club in the world that would pay Bale’s wages after he has gone “two seasons without playing, more or less”.
Montero then went on to explain that it was a “tricky situation” and that the pundit’s belief is that “he’s going to stay [with] Real Madrid”.
This was then shared to Spurs fans by Daily Hotspur and it had lots of them talking.

Bale spent six years as a Tottenham player, having signed from Southampton in 2007 and departed for Real Madrid in 2013 (per Transfermarkt).
During his time with Spurs, the Welshman made 203 appearances in which he scored 56 goals and provided 58 assists (per Transfermarkt).
He’s already got enough money. He should just come back to spurs and get a wage cut.
