How well do you remember Heung-Min Son's time with Spurs? - The Lilywhites signed Son from which Bundesliga side?

The Athletic reporter discussed many things during the episode, but one of the topics he spent some time on was Foyth and Spurs’ right-back situation.

Here is what he had to say on the 2017 signing from Estudiantes when discussing what Spurs’ priority should be in the transfer window:

“That is a priority area, [after] losing Walker-Peters, they suddenly look a bit short in that area,” said Eccleshare.

“I mean, I know Juan Foyth can play there, but there’s a reasonable chance he’ll go out on loan this summer, or could even leave altogether.

“So, I think that feels like the next one [position to target], and like I say with Mourinho generally being quite good at identifying there’s a problem and moving reasonably quickly to solve it, so I think we probably will see someone coming in, in that area.”

It looks like Foyth could be leaving the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium either on loan or permanently and that Spurs will probably bring in a right-back this summer.

Would you be sad to see Foyth go?

TIF Thoughts…

The 22-year-old, who is valued at £12.15m by Transfermarkt, has barely featured under Jose Mourinho. In fact, he has only played three games, totalling 135 minutes, so it is no surprise to see that Eccleshare thinks he will be heading out of the club in the near future.

One of the clubs supposedly interested in Foyth is Leeds United, who would be willing to spend £15m on the Argentinian.

Spurs have lost Kyle Walker-Peters to Southampton, and if Eccleshare is to be believed, Foyth could be leaving as well.

This would leave Tottenham with just Serge Aurier as a natural right-back, and even he has been linked with a move to AC Milan.

So, you would think Tottenham will have to sign a right-back in this window whatever happens, so it will also be intriguing to see what happens with Foyth.
