To get things started a rather easy one. Who scored Newcastle's first league goal of the season?

Bruce, speaking at the club’s training camp in York (via The Shields Gazette), claimed that the club needed clarity and that he was prepared to ‘get on with it’ after the takeover bid from Amanda Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium was withdrawn.

These comments have drawn a reaction from these Toon fans, who are not pleased because they think that Bruce is only happy because he will keep his job.

Has this annoyed you?

Yes, he clearly only cares about his job

The deal for Staveley’s Saudi-backed consortium to buy Newcastle was withdrawn on 30th July as the takeover bid ‘was still being scrutinised’ by the Premier League when the group pulled out after they had initially agreed a deal with Toon owner Mike Ashley back in April, as per the BBC.

In the end, the Premier League failed to make a decision on the takeover and have since claimed that they never even got to the stage where they would have been required to decide.

Bruce spoke about the takeover and slammed some of the rumours that were circulating about his job with the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and Rafael Benitez heavily linked while the takeover was ongoing.

This post continued to draw the attention of many Newcastle fans who believe that the takeover is dead, along with their club.

During the takeover process, Bruce had maintained that he was excited to see what might have happened because he is a Newcastle fan; however, now he just seems happy that it is all over.

This seems odd considering the plans that Staveley’s consortium are said to have had, but considering some of the names that were being linked to the job, maybe he feared for his career and is therefore pleased that it is all over?

That is certainly what many Newcastle fans think, and they are not happy with these comments from Bruce.
