Supporters of Newcastle United have been reacting to a report which listed what Amanda Staveley’s consortium had planned to do if they had taken over the club.
According to a report published by the Sunday Mirror, as cited by HITC, the consortium had already planned which players they wanted to bring to St. James’ Park.
That list consisted of Mauro Icardi, Nathan Ake, David Brooks, Callum Wilson, Hamza Choudhury, Demarai Gray and Adam Lallana.
It was also stated that there were plans to make significant changes to the backroom staff, make sizeable donations to the Newcastle United Foundation and support Wallsend Boys Club and the Great North Run (via NUFC 360).
Lots of Toon fans flocked to this report when it was shared to social media.

It was revealed last week that the proposed takeover of the North-East club had fallen through as the consortium had ended its bid (per BBC).
The £300m takeover of Newcastle had been with the Premier League since April and it was stated that Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund PIF ‘ran out of patience‘ with their long wait for a green light.
not keen on the first point but the other 3 would obviously all have been positives, no point sitting thinking about what might have happened tho

Seemingly, lots of supporters stated that they would have been unhappy if some of the listed players would have been signed anyway.
Would you have been happy if all of the listed players were signed by the Toon?
No, it's a strange bunch
Yes, it's a good bunch
Poor signings by the way but not the time to debate, let’s finish the mission in hands.

Why did they want anything to do with signings? They don’t have a clue

As can be seen in these responses from Newcastle fans, there was quite a mixed reaction amongst supporters following the report in the Sunday Mirror.
