A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from The Chronicle that contains a link to a report from their site with comments from Jeff Hendrick.
The 28-year-old claimed that he had a ‘nice chat‘ with manager Steve Bruce which convinced him to join the Toon, despite AC Milan holding an interest in the player.
This has drawn the attention of these Toon fans who are not happy with this post.
Do you think Bruce helped sway Hendrick?

Hendrick joined Newcastle on a four-year deal last week, and he was full of praise for Bruce in this interview, while the Toon boss also sounds pleased to have signed the Irishman.
The Republic of Ireland international has claimed that he wants to play in the centre of midfield having mainly played on the right last season for Burnley.
So, it would seem that Newcastle have some competition in that central-midfield area now, and it will be down to Hendrick to go out and win his place.
This post continued to draw a negative reaction from many Newcastle fans.
Imagin speaking to AC Milan but being swayed by the mighty Steve Bruce. ??

Hendrick arrives at St. James’ Park with both Premier League and international experience, so it will be interesting to see how he does.
However, Newcastle now probably should press on with other signings, and they are reportedly set to sign Rob Holding on loan and have made a bid for Moussa Marega.
They have also suffered some bad injury news with both Martin Dubravka and Dwight Gayle set to be out for a lengthy period of time, so will the Toon respond to these injuries?
It will be intriguing to see what they do in the rest of the transfer window.
