“I would like to discuss all of this with Valentino after his vacation. There are interested parties. I’m talking to some clubs, but there’s no decision at this stage. With a club, as I said, one is very far.”
Many Newcastle United fans have been talking about the latest news update involving Valentino Lazaro that recently emerged on social media.
Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr recently gave an interview to outlet Kronen Zeitung (via Chronicle Live) and he revealed that his client is ‘very far’ advanced in negotiations with a club. The report says that the Austrian media has suggested that the club in question is a Champions League side.
Here’s what Hagmayr had to say in full: “It is important for Valentino to play more after this season. With a club, we are already very far.
His agent needs a pay rise.

A couple of these Newcastle fans seem annoyed at Lazaro’s agent and one believes that his agent has always been ‘fishy’. Some other Toon fans, though, directed their anger towards Steve Bruce for not using Lazaro properly.
I don’t blame him he’s never had 90 minutes under Bruce

I don’t blame him, he was decent when he was playing but never got much time for some reason.

Wouldn’t blame the lad. Bruce refused to play him.

After arriving on loan from Inter in January, Lazaro made 13 Premier League appearances for Newcastle and played two FA Cup games as well. In all competitions for the Magpies, he scored two goals in the 2019/20 season (as per Transfermarkt).
The 24-year-old picked up an unconvincing rating of 6.21/10 in the Premier League and going by WhoScored ratings, he was the third-worst player of the season for the Magpies. So maybe, moving on from the Austrian might be a good idea for Newcastle and they should focus on other targets.
Is Lazaro good enough for Newcastle?
No, he's not good enough
Yes, we should sign him
