Fans of Newcastle have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays claims that Newcastle United would prefer to sell Freddie Woodman rather than loan him out this summer.
According to Alan Nixon, Newcastle want to sell the 23-year-old goalkeeper over the transfer window, rather than send him out on another loan deal – with Woodman spending last season at Championship side Swansea City.
After this news was relayed on Twitter by NUFC 360, fans of Newcastle flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that it should be Karl Darlow sold, rather than Woodman.
He should be number 2 now, sell darlow

While Woodman has made just four first-team appearances for Newcastle, the 23-year-old did impress while on loan this season.
At Swansea, the ‘keeper made 43 appearances, conceding 50 goals and keeping 12 clean sheets, helping the Welsh side to secure a top-six finish in the league.
However, despite his impressive campaign in the Championship, and in stark comparison to the previous comments, these Newcastle fans believe that the club is right to attempt to sell Woodman this summer.
Championship is his level. He’s too small for the premier league.

Be sad to see another promising youngster leave without getting a fair crack in the 1st team set up but can’t see anyone taking the #1 off Dubravka, kept us in the league (again!).

As such, it would appear that the majority of these Newcastle fans believe that the club should hang on to Woodman, while others are not convinced that the ‘keeper is good enough for their club.
