A lot of Newcastle United fans have replied to a post from Lee Ryder that claims that the Newcastle backroom staff have been told to continue their recruitment drive despite the backroom uncertainty at the club following last week’s takeover drama – and that the representatives of former Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick have offered the player to the Toon.
Hendrick left Burnley at the end of June and is now without a club, and it is fair to say that this news has not gone down well with many Newcastle fans.
Jeff Hendrick Jesus wept..

Hendrick made 24 appearances for Sean Dyche’s side in the 2019/20 campaign in which he scored two goals, provided two assists and earned a rating of 6.55/10 for his league displays.
Would you be happy with Jeff Hendrick?
No
Yes
This rating would make him Newcastle’s third-highest-rated central midfielder from the 2019/20 season.
So, he might not be a bad signing for Newcastle, and these Toon fans think he would actually be a decent addition.
Hendrick is half decent but would likely be rotation surely. Need a striker desperately!

Really not that bad of a signing given the circumstances, need a RM and he can score too

Could be a big signing for us @MoneyMikeAshley

Newcastle are thought to have a budget of £35m plus player sales, so a move for a player who has made 122 Premier League appearances on a free might not be a bad signing, and he could provide some competition in central midfield, especially with Matty Longstaff’s future uncertain.
The Toon have also been linked with moves for Ryan Fraser, Callum Wilson, and Josh King, so it will be interesting to see if Newcastle can pull off any of these signings.
Hendrick could be a good addition, but we will just have to wait and see if the Toon make a move for him.
