Newcastle United’s official Twitter account caught the attention of many Toon supporters recently after they posted a tweet that included an image of the club’s away goalkeeper shirt for the 2020/21 campaign.
This kit is designed by Puma, whose partnership with the Toon was set to expire after the 2019/20 season but was ultimately extended earlier this year so that they could produce the club’s kits for the 2020/21 campaign.
This away goalkeeper shirt is bright pink in colour and the body of the shirt features a hexagonal pattern.
After this shirt was shared by Newcastle United’s official Twitter account, plenty of Toon fans flocked to this post to share their thoughts on this kit.

Some Newcastle fans shared a negative reaction to this kit, with some Toon supporters criticising the colour of the shirt.

However, plenty of the Newcastle supporters who replied to this tweet shared a more positive reaction to this kit, with one Toon fan responding to this post to declare that ‘this is the first time [they] have ever considered buying a [goalkeeper] top.’
Gonna be in the minority but I like this one ? even though it looks like it smells of raspberries

Will you be buying this kit?
YES
NO
While some Toon supporters were quick to slate this new kit, it may be fair to say that there were plenty of positive reactions to this goalkeeper shirt from Newcastle fans judging by the responses to the club’s tweet. Those reactions will be welcomed by the club and Puma following the extension to their partnership earlier this year.
