Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

The BBC reporter was brought onto the podcast to discuss Sancho and all of the details around the deal, and he revealed that he thinks the Red Devils will sign the England international this summer.

Here is what he said when asked by Chris Sutton if Manchester United would get the deal done:

“Well, it is a priority to sign Jadon Sancho, there’s no doubt about that, and I think the deal will end up being done because Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear internally that he wants the player.

“I think he sees Sancho as someone that fits into the system that was clear to everyone that he was finishing the season with.”

However, despite Stone’s belief that the Red Devils will sign Sancho, he was keen to point out that they are losing money at the moment, which could explain why negotiations are going on for Sancho’s price.

“Manchester United are not immune to the difficulties that are created by the [pandemic].

“They’ll play a game on Wednesday in front of an empty Old Trafford; well that’s costing them £5m in gate receipts, every time they play it’s costing them money.”

It seems as if Stone thinks that despite financial uncertainty the 20-year-old will become a Manchester United player in this window.

Do you think Dortmund's deadline will matter?

TIF Thoughts…

Borussia Dortmund have supposedly set a deadline for the Sancho deal to be completed by 10th August so that they can prepare accordingly for the upcoming Bundesliga season.

However, Stone is not convinced that this deadline will be stuck to, while he believes that Manchester United are working to just one deadline, which is when the transfer window closes in October.

Sancho moved to Dortmund in 2017 from Manchester City, and he has gone on to make 99 appearances, score 34 goals and provide 43 assists.

So he could be a great addition to the Red Devils, judging by these stats.
