On the topic of Martial, Mitten shared his thoughts on the Frenchman.

He said: “I think [Anthony] Martial’s getting better and fitter under Ole Gunnar [Solskjaer].

“Martial is getting more chances in a central role, his goal tally this season is incredible. His pace is brilliant, his feet are so quick, he’s getting stronger. He looks fitter, he looks happier and I know he’s big pals with Paul Pogba and I think it’s great to see.

“There have been times where United fans have doubted Anthony Martial, but he’s really come onto his own this season.”

Martial signed to the club back in 2015 from AS Monaco in a deal worth £54 million (as per Transfermarkt). Since then, the 24-year-old has gone on to make 221 appearances for United, in which he has managed to score 71 goals and provide 41 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

The 2019/20 Premier League season saw Martial make 32 league appearances, for United in which he managed to score 17 goals and provide six assists.

Martial’s performances in those league appearances earned him a season rating of 7.31/10, making him United’s third-highest-rated player for the campaign (per WhoScored).
