This comes after Addison recently made an appearance on the Liverpool Echo’s Blood Red Podcast where he talked about the latest news topics related to Jurgen Klopp’s team.

2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

After it was recently reported in the Liverpool Echo that the Reds have signed the 16-year-old from German club Hoffenheim, Addison had this to say on the matter.

He said: “The Echo understands that a deal has been approved by the FA and the Football Association is more than happy with it, the Premier League as well. It seems that he is going to pen a scholarship at Liverpool – obviously not old enough yet to sign a professional deal.

“You can only do that when you turn 17 but yeah, 16 years of age he’s going to go into the U18s we believe, certainly one to watch very, very highly-rated over in Germany and I’m sure he’s somebody that I’m going to hopefully get the opportunity to go back and see a few times this season.”

The teenage attacking midfielder made his debut for Hoffenheim’s U17 team back in August 2018 when he was just 14 years old. Since then, the German has gone on to make 39 appearances for the U17s in which he has managed to grab himself seven goals and provide five assists for his teammates too (per Transfermarkt).

Frauendorf has also made two appearances for the German national team’s U15 squad and four for their U16 squad.

TIF Thoughts…

It’s good to hear that Liverpool have secured the signing of Frauendorf who Addison seems to be really excited about seeing in action.

This move for Frauendorf shows that Liverpool are focused on adding strength to their youth sides and building for the future.

Hopefully, Frauendorf will be able to settle at the Merseyside club when he arrives and manages to make the most out of the opportunities he will get there.
