This comes after Addison recently made an appearance on the Liverpool Echo’s Blood Red Podcast to discuss all the latest goings-on at the Merseyside club at the moment.

2018/19 season quiz: How many points did Jurgen Klopp's side accumulate in the Premier League?

On the topic of Brooks, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks, Addison had this to say on the potential move.

He said: “I think he will move on. I think he’s definitely a Premier League player. He’s not likely to want to stay at Bournemouth I think we’ve seen with Nathan Ake and one or two others that Bournemouth, if the right fee is put on the table, they will let those players go and I’d be surprised if David Brooks is still a Championship player once next season kicks off, but I would be equally surprised if he ended up at Liverpool I think, you know, a move to one or two of those other clubs makes a great deal of sense.

“Tottenham [Hotspur], potentially, maybe have got other priorities, I’m not too sure, but certainly Everton I think would be one of those who could well be interested but yeah, I’d be very surprised if Liverpool were interested, particularly because I think I read last week that Bournemouth wanted about 35 to 40 million for him so it would be a massive shock I think if Liverpool ended up with David Brooks.”

Brooks joined Bournemouth back in the 2018 summer transfer window from Sheffield United in a deal worth £10.17 million.

Since then, the 23-year-old has gone on to make 42 appearances for the Cherries, scoring eight goals and providing five assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

The 2019/20 season saw Brooks, who is currently valued at £18 million, make nine Premier League appearances for Bournemouth as he spent a large part of the season out injured after having ankle surgery.

TIF Thoughts…

According to Addison, it appears that he thinks Brooks will end up back in the Premier League next season after Bournemouth got relegated at the end of the last campaign, but he just won’t be wearing a Liverpool shirt in it.

Given the goals and assists that he has gathered at Bournemouth since his arrival there, he has shown that he can perform in the top-flight. It will now be intriguing to see if any Premier League club would be willing to sign him this summer.
