Many Leeds United supporters have been responding to a tweet from The Athletic’s Phil Hay in which he reports that he expects the Whites to make a ‘firm bid’ for Robin Koch this week.
The SC Freiburg defender is said to be worth £15.3m (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk) but his current contract with the Bundesliga side is due to expire in June 2021 which may work in the Premier League club’s favour as they prepare to go after the 24-year-old.
Here is how a sample of the Elland Road faithful have reacted to Hay’s update.
If we buy Koch, is that the final nail in White’s coffin? Ie Bielsa only wants one cb brought in.

Why hasn’t a firm offer been made for Koch yet ? The White deal was always unlikely and I assume you can have an offer accepted but pull out if something better comes along ?

What takes so long? Just bid for a player. Dont discus possibly maybe bidding if possible then maybe possible. Just bid then move on

Are you expecting to see the club land Robin Koch this season?
Yes
No
Judging by the responses, it seems as though some fans are concerned by the fact that the club are yet to submit a formal bid for the German defender.
Why are we not trying to push the Koch transfer before someone else snaps him up?? We will also need him up to Bielsa speed.

Really looking forward Koch playing for Leeds. Let’s make it happen

Koch made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga last season and according to WhoScored.com, his average performance rating in the league was a solid 6.73/10, therefore you can understand why some of these supporters are hoping to see the player join their club this summer.
Given that he is just 24 years old, one can argue that the best of the former Kaiserslautern man is yet to come.
