Starting with an easy one how many points did Leeds end the season with?

On the topic of Leeds’ Adidas deal, which was announced back in July, Hay had this to say on the matter.

He said: “It’s a very significant commercial deal which we shouldn’t pretend otherwise, and Adidas, to my mind, are one of the manufacturers who produce some of the better kits.

“In commercial terms, you should never underestimate the value of this to Leeds and the fact that it is very, very significant to have Adidas on board as the new supplier – and the financial part of it is where they will really, really benefit. I know that the supporters on the street want the kits – it’s the merchandise itself that’s important to them – but from Leeds’ perspective, it’s all about the money and it’s all about the prestige.”

It was reported back in July that the Yorkshire club had struck a five-year deal with Adidas to become their new kit manufacturers.

Last Thursday, the official Leeds club website revealed their new Adidas home kit that they would be wearing for their upcoming 2020/21 Premier League season.

The 2019/20 season had Adidas manufacture kits for the likes of Manchester United, Leicester City, Arsenal, Sheffield United, Wolves and Watford in the top flight.

TIF Thoughts…

According to Hay, this Adidas deal will be a big boost for Leeds financially, which is a good thing for the club at the moment, considering how the pandemic has had a negative financial impact on clubs across the country.

Everyone connected to Leeds will be hoping that their team can have a successful season in the top flight next season wearing their new Adidas strip.
