Leverkusen are said to be after €40m (£36.09m), while Bailey is thought to be keen on a move to the Premier League, and has switched agents to make a move abroad easier.

Bailey has been at Leverkusen since January 2017, but he could soon be swapping the Bundesliga for the Premier League if this report is to be believed.

The Jamaica international has been linked with a move to other Premier League clubs in the past, but it seems as if the Toffees could be an option.

TIF Thoughts…

Prior to the conclusion of Leverkusen’s Europa League tie against Rangers, Bailey had featured in 31 games in the 2019/20 season in which he has scored seven goals and provided three assists; however, he did play 15 games as a substitute, so that could explain why his numbers were down from the 2017/18 season.

During that season, Bailey scored nine goals and provided six assists from 25 starts in an impressive league campaign.

Everton finished in 12th place and had a poor restart to the Premier League season, only winning three games since mid-June.

Therefore, Carlo Ancelotti might be looking to make some improvements to the squad, and the signing of Bailey would give him a versatile player who has shown his ability to both score and provide goals.

The Toffees are in the market for a few signings, so it will be interesting to see if they do make a move for Bailey this summer.

He could be a good signing for Everton, but we will just have to see if they think he is worth the reported fee.
