Crystal Palace have expressed an interest in the Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to 90min.

The Finland international signed for the Ibrox club from Dundee FC in January 2019 in a deal reportedly worth £50k (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).

Last season, he made 19 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Steven Gerrard’s side.

Although 90min make reference to the Eagles’ interest in the player, the south London club are not the only ones they say are monitoring Kamara’s situation.

It’s understood that Sheffield United, Everton, Newcastle United, Southampton, Norwich City and Brentford are all interested, too. Therefore, it seems the 24-year-old is not short of admirers.

Can you score 20/20 on this Premier League quiz? Starting off easy, who is the top scorer in the Premier League this season?

The article also claims that Dynamo Kiev and Dinamo Moscow are preparing to make bids for the former Dundee man – so if Roy Hodgson’s side is keen on bringing him in, they’ll possibly face competition from Eastern Europe.

TIF Thoughts…

Kamara has represented his national team on 19 occasions so far, making his debut back in November 2017 (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).

According to WhoScored.com, his pass success percentage last season stood at 94.7% which is superior to that of the entire Crystal Palace squad in the Premier League during the 2019/20 campaign.

The player’s value, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk is £1.08m and so it is probably fair to assume that he is a player who would be attainable for a very reasonable sum should Palace decide to make their move.

It was reported as recently as last month that Roy Hodgson and the club’s hierarchy have differing views on how the club should approach this summer’s transfer window and that may or may not have an impact on the business they do between now and the end of the window.
