Crystal Palace fan? We bet you can't get 100% on this Palace 19/20 season quiz. We'll start off with an easy one... Which side did Palace face on the opening day of the 19/20 Premier League season?

Eze was one of the standout performers in the Championship last season, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists over his 46 league appearances, averaging a highly impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.36 – ranking him as the club’s best performer in the league last term.

Eze featured from no less than seven different positions for QPR last season, demonstrating his versatility, something which Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has said could lead to the England U21 international to having a ‘huge impact in the Premier League’.

TIF Thoughts…

The signing of Eze would appear to tick a lot of boxes for Palace.

Firstly, it has been reported that the club are looking to bring the average age of their squad down by signing younger players this summer, and at 22 years old, Eze certainly falls into this category.

Secondly, with Wilfried Zaha once again being linked with a number of clubs, as well as the 27-year-old telling Hodgson that he would like to leave the club this summer, it would appear as though Palace could be in the market for a Zaha replacement.

Considering the fact that Eze can operate from any of the three positions behind a striker, it would seem as if he could easily slot in on the wing in place of Zaha.

So, all in all, we are of the opinion that, if this deal does go on to be completed in the coming days, it will be a great piece of business by Palace.
