According to recent reports, Crystal Palace are set to make an ‘opening offer’ of around £12 million for QPR’s attacking midfielder – and West Ham United target – Eberechi Eze.
The reports by West London Sport claim that Palace have ‘long been tracking’ the 22-year-old. However, West Ham, as well as a ‘several’ other Premier League clubs, are now also said to be interested in Eze, for whom QPR are said to want £20 million.
It is also stated that opening offers are believed to be around £12 million for the £8.10 million-rated player, and while that is some way short of QPR’s asking price, there is ‘every expectation’ Eze will be a Premier League footballer next season.
Considering his form for QPR in the 2019/20 season, it is not surprising to see that there are a number of Premier League clubs interested in acquiring the services of the attacking midfielder this summer.
Over his 46 Championship appearances last term, the 22-year-old scored 14 goals and provided eight assists, earning 10 WhoScored Man of the Match awards as well as an average match rating of 7.36 – ranking him as not just QPR’s best performer of the season, but also as the third-best in the Championship as a whole.
TIF Thoughts…
Considering the fact that Eze is still only 22 years old, his form from last season is certainly enough to deem him an exciting prospect and a player who would appear ready to make the step up to Premier League football.
Would you be happy to see Palace sign Eze for £20 million this summer?

In addition to this, with Wilfried Zaha once again being linked with a summer move away from Selhurst Park, Eze could well be seen as a player with the potential to go on and fill the boots of Palace’s potentially departing star.
