According to recent reports, Crystal Palace – as well as clubs such as Leicester City and Southampton – are interested in a summer move for West Ham United winger, Grady Diangana.

The reports in the Sunday People (via Hammers News) claim that Palace are one of a number of clubs interested in the 22-year-old, who the Hammers value at £20 million.

It is said that while West Ham aren’t likely to want to sell Diangana this summer, David Moyes is in need of ‘raising some fast cash’, so the sale of the promising winger would not be beyond the realms of possibility.

The interest comes following an impressive season on loan at West Bromwich Albion, where the winger scored eight goals and provided six assists over 30 appearances, earning a WhoScored match rating of 7.13 – ranking him as the club’s third-best performer, not bad going at all for a loanee.

TIF Thoughts…

With Crystal Palace said to be aiming to lower the average age of their squad over the summer transfer window by prioritising youth over experience, it would seem as if Diangana fits the bill quite nicely.

In addition to this, considering the fact that Wilfried Zaha has stated he would like to leave the club this summer, it could well be that Palace find themselves looking for a replacement for their talismanic player.

However, it would seem unlikely that West Ham would be willing to sell the £4.05 million-rated man to a side who finished close to them in the Premier League table last season and not least one of their London rivals.
