In this 2019/20 season quiz, do you remember who scored Villa's first PL goal of the season?

Rashica is thought to be on the move this summer and has been linked to Villa in recent days – though the level of demand in the player means that Villa Park may not be where he ends up before the start of next season, with Sky Germany suggesting that he wants to stay in the Bundesliga.

On the topic of Rashica, Rushton shared his thoughts on a possible move for the winger saying: “If Villa can pull it off, I feel like it’s very unrealistic, but if they can it’d be a marquee signing, absolutely no doubt. It’ll be hopefully a season-defining one.

“If he does join, it’s no question – he’d be a straight starter, absolutely, game in, game out.”

The 24-year-old, who is currently valued at £19.8 million, signed to the German club back in the 2018 January transfer window from Vitesse Arnhem.

Since then, the Kosovan has made a total of 74 appearances for the Bundesliga club in which he has managed to score 24 goals and provide 14 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

The 2019/20 Bundesliga season saw Rashica make 28 appearances for Bremen, scoring eight goals and providing five assists throughout the campaign.

His performances in those appearances earned himself a season rating of 6.99/10, making him Bremen’s second-highest rated player for the 2019/20 season (per WhoScored).

TIF Thoughts…

Looking at Rashica’s goals and assists record for the German side since his arrival, it’s understandable why Rushton thinks a move for the winger from Villa would be a massive bit of business from the club.
