Leeds United YouTuber Conor McGilligan has been sharing his thoughts on the possibility of Brighton and Hove Albion defender Ben White asking his club to help him make a move to Elland Road this summer.

This comes after McGilligan released a video on his Leeds-themed YouTube channel where he spoke about a number of news topics surrounding the Yorkshire club at the moment.

Starting with an easy one how many points did Leeds end the season with?

After it was suggested by Jermaine Beckford on TalkSPORT that White should talk with the owners at Brighton and be given permission to arrange a permanent switch to Elland Road, to which McGilligan shared his thoughts on that possibility.

He said: “That’s not happening right now and I think the reason behind that is purely because he doesn’t want to leave on a sour note – but does he need to drive that through, drive that home, the fact that he wants to leave; this is the move that he wants to make? I don’t know, but it’s definitely something to consider. I think there’s going to be a point where Leeds are going to have to actually back out of the deal. I honestly do think that, because it’s going to be too hard for Leeds to be able to keep going and pressing that value.”

It has been reported recently that Leeds have had two bids of £18.5 million and £22 million for White turned down by Brighton.

The 22-year-old’s performances in the 46 Championship appearances he made for Marcelo Bielsa’s side during the 2019/20 season earned him a season rating of 7.09/10, making him their fifth-highest-rated player.

TIF Thoughts…

It will be interesting to see if White will take it upon himself to get in touch with the Brighton owners and ask for a move to Leeds if that’s what he wants to do this summer.
