Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to sing the praises of Ian Poveda in the 4-0 win against Charlton Athletic on Wednesday evening.
The Whites finished their title-winning campaign in style against the Addicks, with Ben White, Stuart Dallas, Tyler Roberts and Jamie Shackleton all on the scoresheet (per BBC). The win ensured that Marcelo Bielsa’s side would finish the season on 93 points, 10 points clear of second-placed West Bromwich Albion, who claimed the second automatic promotion spot after a 2-2 draw with QPR.
Following the game, lots of Leeds fans were quick to salute the performance of Ian Poveda, who impressed in the victory against Lee Bowyer’s side, earning an impressive 7/10 rating from Leeds Live after coming off the bench in the second half. The 20-year-old was signed from Manchester City in the January transfer window, but has found game time hard to come by so far for Leeds having made just four appearances this season.
