Leeds United recently announced the signing of Illan Meslier on a permanent deal (via leedsunited.com).
The 20-year-old arrived at Elland Road from Lorient on loan at the start of the 2019/20 season but was made to wait patiently for his opportunity in the Championship. Meslier made his first league appearance for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in February after Kiko Casilla was hit with a suspension having been found guilty of racially abusing Jonathan Leko in a game that took place against Charlton Athletic back in September.
Since he has come into the side, he has made 10 Championship appearances, keeping an impressive seven clean sheets and conceding just four goals (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
Following the news, here is how a sample of the Leeds United fans have reacted on Twitter.

Brilliant signing in my eyes. Came in at a tough time when the pressure was there and coped like a vastly experienced keeper. Potential to be a World class player imo. Welcome to the club permanently! #lufc

It is clear from the above responses that many of these supporters were pleased to hear Meslier has joined the club on a permanent basis. Earlier in the month, the Whites announced the permanent signing of Helder Costa from Wolverhampton Wanderers and some are hoping Ben White will be the next player the club tie down ahead of their first Premier League campaign following a 16-year absence.
Good bit of business. Ben White next please and thank you.

Is Meslier good enough for the Premier League?
YES
NO
The final round of Championship fixtures for the 2019/20 season took place on Wednesday and Leeds ended their campaign with a flourish, comfortably beating Charlton Athletic 4-0 to finish on an impressive 93 points but now their attention must turn to preparing for life in the Premier League.
