Many Leeds United fans have been responding to a tweet from @LUATW1919 in which it is claimed the club are in the market for attacking midfielder Thiago Almada.
Reports emerged in Argentinian outlet Olé last week suggesting that Marcelo Bielsa is interested in bringing the 19-year-old to Elland Road. Almada currently plays for Velez Sarsfield in the Argentine Superliga. During the 2019/20 campaign, he’s made 22 appearances, scoring four goals and providing one assist (as per Transfermarkt.co.uk).
It’s understood that Manchester United also have an interest in the player being dubbed as ‘the new Lionel Messi’.

According to Transfermarkt.co.uk, Almada’s current value stands at £16.2m, but it remains unclear how the recent global pandemic will impact the upcoming transfer window. Leeds have secured their place back in the English top flight after a 16-year absence, which we believe will make Elland Road a far more attractive destination to the likes of Almada.
