Supporters of Leeds United have been reacting to a Twitter post from Phil Hay which revealed that Huddersfield Town want to appoint Carlos Corberan as their next first-team manager.
On Monday morning, The Athletic journalist revealed that the Terriers were after the Whites’ first-team technical coach and Under-23 manager.
According to Hay’s tweet, Huddersfield have gone as far as approaching the Elland Road outfit for Corberan.
Leeds would like the 37-year-old Spaniard to stay with the club, however, would not stand in his way if he wanted to leave.
Lots of the Elland Road faithful then flocked to the journalist’s Twitter post to air their thoughts on it.
Huddersfield want Carlos Corberan as their next first-team manager. They've approached Leeds United who want to keep him but won't stand in his way if he decides to go. Would expect a compensation fee. #lufc

Be gutted if he went, but he has to think of himself.

Aside from Leeds Under-23s, Corberan has only been the manager of Cypriot sides Doxa Katokopias and Ermis Aradippou, both of which were short-lived tenures (per Transfermarkt).
Do you believe that Carlos Corberan should stay with Leeds?
Yes, it's the better option
No, he should leave us
Always saw him as a potential Bielsa successor, maybe manager after next, and/or as assistant to someone with similar ideas as Bielsa (I don’t know if this coach exists!). Be a shame if he left

While some fans did not believe that the Spaniard would be leaving Elland Road, a later tweet from Hay suggested that it is a possibility.
After a fan stated that the coach would not leave, The Athletic reporter stated: ‘I think he might. Keen to be a first-team boss.’ (per Phil Hay).
I’d be gutted if he does after all the incredible work he’s done and could still do!! They obviously see we hold the blueprint to success in this division!!

He’s next in line for the throne. Stay at Leeds, another year under Bielsa. No brainer.

This is exactly the news I didn’t want.

As can be seen in these responses from Leeds fans, the majority of supporters want Corberan to stay. However, some believed that he should make the decision that he believes is best for his career.
