A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a post from their club that confirms the Whites have made Helder Costa’s loan move a permanent deal.
Included in the tweet was a link to the club’s website that explains the 26-year-old has signed a four-year deal and includes some information about his career.
This post drew the attention of these Leeds fans, who were not happy that Costa had signed permanently from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Are you happy Costa has joined permanently?
Yes

He needs to improve very quickly

Waste of money in my opinion.

Feels insane to see us spend so much. I still remember us signing Luke Murphy for 1m. That felt crazy enough

This has been Costa’s worst season in the Championship for both goals and assists, having only scored three goals and provided four assists (as per Transfermarkt), while his WhoScored average rating of 6.66/10 is only good enough to make him Leeds’ joint 12th-best player.
However, despite this, many other Whites fans were happy to sign Costa permanently, and are expecting big things from the one-cap Portugal international.
Look how much Harrison has improved after longer time working with Bielsa. Costa deserves the same time and effort from us lot. Off his back and get behind the lad!

Although Costa has not had the best year in terms of goals or assists, he has played 40 league games – so he is clearly trusted by Marcelo Bielsa and has played a role in the Whites’ rise to the top of the Championship table.
The 26-year-old signed from Wolves last summer after Leeds agreed a deal to take Costa on a season-long loan and then make the move permanent for £15m this summer.
So, this is just the Whites fulfilling their obligation; however, some Leeds fans are still excited to see what Costa can do next season.
If he helps Leeds win promotion, then he will probably want to prove that he can be better in the top flight after making 25 appearances last year for Wolves in the Premier League.
In that time, he scored once and provided two assists, so if Leeds are promoted, he might be able to show what he is truly capable of producing in the top tier.
