Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest news update involving Jack Hendry that emerged on social media.

The official Celtic Twitter account recently posted a tweet about the defender, as they quote-tweeted a post from KV Oostende. The original post had a video of the centre-back, but the Celtic Twitter account confirmed that he has joined the Belgian club on a season-long loan.

Starting with an easy one- apart from Paris Saint-Germain, which other French club did Edouard play for?

This tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans. They flocked to this update and made their opinion very clear. Some of them felt glad that Hendry has left Parkhead.

Is Jack Hendry done as a Celtic player?

Hendry had joined Celtic from Dundee in the winter of 2018, but he had left the club on loan in January 2020 to join A-League club Melbourne City. The defender returned to Parkhead at the end of the previous campaign (via Transfermarkt).

Many other Celtic fans also made their opinion clear about Hendry leaving. Some of them seemed happy and don’t want him to return to the Glasgow-based club.

Before leaving Celtic to join Melbourne City, Hendry had not made a single Premiership appearance for the Hoops in the 2019/20 campaign. He did play once in the League Cup but got only 11 minutes of first-team football there (via Transfermarkt).

This shows that the 25-year-old was pretty low down in the pecking order at Parkhead. He wasn’t getting first-team football and as a result, his development was becoming stagnant.

However, given his age, there is a chance that he could still improve as a player in the future. Celtic fans can only hope that his stint at Oostende gives him first-team football and he comes back as a better footballer.
