Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet that Chris Sutton has posted on social media.

Sutton’s latest tweet saw him quote-tweet a post from the Daily Record, which involved Jermain Defoe, who recently spoke in an interview with the Beautiful Game podcast. In that interview, the striker said that the Gers can go all the way in the 2020/21 Premiership season and can ‘compete in Europe’ as well, as per The Daily Record.

Starting with an easy one- apart from Paris Saint-Germain, which other French club did Edouard play for?

Sutton reacted to Defoe’s comments in his tweet. The former Celtic star said that he has ‘seen this movie before’ and urged Defoe to do his talking ‘on the pitch’.

This tweet caught the attention of many Celtic fans. Some of them made their dislike for Defoe very clear.

Can Celtic miss out on the title in the 2020/21 season?

No, we'll win it

Celtic beat the Gers twice in all competitions in the 2019/20 season. They beat them in a Scottish Premiership clash early in the season and then beat them in the League Cup final as well (via Transfermarkt).

Many other Celtic fans also criticised Defoe and they made their opinion about the Englishman very clear indeed.

These Celtic fans feel pretty confident that the Hoops will win the Premiership next season and seal their tenth Premiership title in a row.

The last time the Hoops won nine titles in a row was back in 1974 and they haven’t had a chance to go one better since. So winning the title next season would be a historic achievement in Scottish football and Celtic can’t afford to miss out on the chance. Hoops fans can only hope that their Old Firm rivals slip up – as they did in the second half of the 2019/20 campaign.
