Odsonne Edouard caught the attention of plenty of Celtic fans recently after he took to Twitter to share a couple of images that show him and some of his teammates wearing the Hoops’ kit for the 2020/21 season.
As per Celtic’s official website, the club recently signed a five-year deal with Adidas to become the Hoops’ kit supplier. Celtic claimed that this deal is ‘believed to be the biggest kit sponsorship ever to be announced across Scottish sport.’
Edouard, who was the Hoops’ top goalscorer for the 2019/20 campaign, helping Celtic to win a ninth-straight Scottish Premiership title, shared some images of himself and some teammates wearing the club’s kit for next season. He captioned these images with the words: “Some things are worth waiting for.”

Some Celtic fans replied to this tweet to speculate about Edouard potentially changing his kit number to 7 for next season, as previously worn by the likes of Henrik Larsson and Jimmy Johnstone. Last season, the attacker wore the number 22 on his kit – and there are whispers he is set to switch to the famous jersey.
So you’re the new number 7!!!!!! ???

Eddy Bhoy, best kit in my near forty years following the team, in my opinion. So is it the magnificent 7 this year ?

Considering that Edouard scored more goals than any other Celtic player last season, it may not come as a big surprise that some Hoops fans responded to the striker’s recent tweet to call for him to sign a new deal with the club.
