The Express and Star journalist Nathan Judah has aired his belief that Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez will leave the club “sooner rather than later”.

The Mexican forward has been situated at Molineux since the summer of 2018 as he initially arrived on loan from SL Benfica (per BBC).

After the 29-year-old then netted 13 goals and bagged eight assists in 38 Premier League matches last season (per Transfermarkt), the club made his move permanent last summer for £30m (per BBC).

In the latest episode of The E&S Wolves Podcast, though, Judah aired his thoughts on the future of the Mexican striker.

To start this quiz on Ruben Neves with an easy one, in the region of how much did the Old Gold pay to secure the midfielder's services?

He said: “If Raul moves, like we’ve said, with his age, he’ll probably move sooner rather than later because once you’re getting into 31/32, you haven’t got too many big moves with you to a top, top club.

“He’s obviously at the top of his powers, he’s stocked so, so high at this moment in time and he loves Wolves, he loves to be there.

“And I think he wants to be there next season, but if the right move comes in, and the right offer comes in, and they haven’t got European football, then I think that he could be one to go, but if they do qualify, I think he’ll stay. That’s my honest opinion.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the journalist had to say, it is seemingly his belief that the forward will be leaving Molineux ‘sooner rather than later’, especially if the Old Gold do not qualify for European football.

Do you agree that Raul Jimenez will likely leave Wolves "sooner rather than later"?

That would seemingly be a huge blow for Nuno Espirito Santo, as the 29-year-old forward has been Wolves’ second-best performer in the league this season (per WhoScored).
