The Express and Star journalist Joe Edwards has suggested that Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore may be getting ‘predictable’.

The Spaniard has been in superb form for Wolves this season, having picked up a stellar 7.53/10 average rating, which has made him the club’s best-performing player (per WhoScored).

However, in his last two performances, he has picked up a 6.59/10 match rating and a much better (but still below his average) 6.94/10.

So, in the latest episode of the E&S Wolves Podcast, Edwards stated that it may be a case of the 24-year-old becoming a little ‘predictable’.

To start this quiz on Ruben Neves with an easy one, in the region of how much did the Old Gold pay to secure the midfielder's services?

He said: “Traore, once you kind of use him three, four, five times – Sheffield United, fair play to them, did crowd him out pretty effectively – but it gets predictable.

“Something needs to be done to kind of freshen things up.

“Hopefully, there’ll be more trust in the substitutes over the next few weeks because that’s been an issue, but make no mistake about it, something needs to be raised; a spark is needed.

“We just don’t want to see what has been a fantastic season – and Wolves are still in a brilliant position – but you don’t want to just see it undone because [of] a sticky patch when it really matters.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the journalist had to say, it is clear that the team need a ‘spark’ is needed if Wolves are to enjoy success in their final four league fixtures of the season, appearing to call for the side to become less reliant on Traore’s assets.

Do you believe that Adama Traore is getting slightly "predictable" for Wolves?

However, with Traore having been in such impressive form this year, it would be understandable if Nuno Espirito Santo continued to persist with what has worked previously.
