To start this quiz on Ruben Neves with an easy one, in the region of how much did the Old Gold pay to secure the midfielder's services?

During the episode, Spiers was asked what his knowledge was on Wolves’ transfer policy going into the summer window to which the journalist shared this update.

He said: “I don’t see it changing, the recruitment has worked so well for them, they’ve bought players aged 20 to 25 in a £10million-to-£20million bracket almost exclusively. Except for [Raul] Jimenez but again you can’t argue with the money they spent on Jimenez because he’s probably worth more than that already.

“So, I don’t see that changing I think they’ll look to strengthen the defence a little bit. But in terms of numbers, this is what Nuno [Espirito Santo] wants, it’s a small squad. He likes a harmonious group who know that they’re going to be playing week after week or involved in the matchday squad week after week.

“I think [there will be] improvement from the current players, I don’t think Ruben Neves is at his peak yet. I don’t think Diogo Jota is at his peak yet. We’ve seen [Adama] Traore make huge strides this season, quite literally. Then you look at the next group coming through [Pedro] Neto, [Ruben] Vinagre, [Morgan] Gibbs-White, these guys are going to get better and better.”

Do Wolves need to be active in the transfer market this summer?

No

No

Wolves currently sit in sixth place in the Premier League table on 52 points, just below Manchester United on goal difference.

After playing 32 league matches, Wolves have won 13, drawn 13 and lost six along the way (per BBC Sport).

TIF Thoughts…

According to Spiers’ latest comments, it seems that Wolves will be more concerned with relying on some of their younger squad players instead of splashing the cash to bring in some new faces this summer.

This should fill those players that Spiers mentioned with a lot of confidence going forward that they will be given a chance to shine in the team.
