The Express and Star journalist Nathan Judah has recently discussed which Wolverhampton Wanderers player may be the club’s ‘biggest unsung hero’ this season.

This season, the Old Gold have been in imperious form as they have cruised to 13 victories in 32 Premier League matches leaving them sixth in the league table (per BBC).

According to WhoScored, however, only five Wolves players have scored an average rating of 7.00/10 or above in the league this term.

So, in the latest episode of the E&S Wolves Podcast, Judah discussed players who had perhaps not been given the full credit that they have deserved this season.

To start this quiz on Ruben Neves with an easy one, in the region of how much did the Old Gold pay to secure the midfielder's services?

He said: “[We] asked a poll the other day about who the biggest unsung hero is this season – [Leander] Dendoncker, [Romain] Saiss and Jonny.

“Dendoncker obviously scored the goal and was excellent, your [Joe Edwards’] man of the match on Saturday [against Aston Villa], [got] 11%.

“Saiss, who was on the tip of everybody’s tongue going into lockdown and has done fantastically well, and is not suspended, thankfully, after not picking [up] a booking. So, he will be fine for the rest of the season – unless he gets sent off – [he got] 42%.

“From nowhere, Jonny [on] 47%, who I thought was sensational on Saturday. He was everywhere, some fantastic blocks, threw himself at balls, the assist for Dendoncker’s goal.”

TIF Thoughts…

As can be seen in what the journalist had to say, he clearly feels that all three have been superb this season and would be deserving of the ‘biggest unsung hero’ title.

Of the three players, who would you pick as Wolves' biggest unsung hero this season?

Dendoncker

Of the three players, Saiss has earned the best average rating in the Premier League this season with a 6.90/10, with Jonny next on a 6.89/10 and Dendoncker the worst of the trio on a 6.70/10 (per WhoScored).
