Ogden dismissed any possibility of the 24-year-old moving to Manchester United and actually claimed that he could see Traore staying at Molineux if they secure Champions League football.

Here is what Ogden had to say about Traore:

“I don’t see Traore going to United, I really don’t. I think a lot depends on what happens with Wolves now. If they get in the Champions League, either through [the] Europa League or Premier League, I think he stays at Wolves – he’s contracted until the end of the 2022/23 season.

“But if they miss out on the Champions League, then I think players like Traore and Raul Jimenez are going to be looking at [that] and thinking ‘well, this is the big chance to get into the Champions League.’

“Now I’ve been told that Juventus, Man City and Barcelona are all keen on Traore.”

It seems as if Ogden believes that Traore will stay at Wolves if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side can get to the Champions League, but if not, there are some big clubs interested.

TIF Thoughts…

Prior to their clash against Sheffield United on Wednesday evening, Wolves were in sixth place, seven points off fourth with that Blades game in hand; however, depending on the outcome of Manchester City’s CAS hearing, fifth place might become a Champions League spot for next year and Wolves are three points off fifth, while they are also still in the Europa League and secured a first-leg draw at Olympiacos before the lockdown.

So, in both competitions, they are in a decent position; however, it is clear to see why so many clubs are interested in Traore.

This season, he has scored six goals and provided 12 assists in all competitions (as per Transfermarkt) as well as earning a 7.55/10 rating in his 32 Premier League appearances ahead of the clash at Bramall Lane.

It will certainly be intriguing to see what happens with Traore.
