Podcast pundit Tom Edwards has recently aired his excitement over the prospect of West Ham United signing Eberechi Eze from Queens Park Rangers.

In recent weeks, the Irons have been heavily linked with the Championship attacker and have reportedly ‘stepped up their pursuit’ of the 22-year-old forward (per The Guardian).

The interest from David Moyes’ side comes after Eze bagged an impressive 14 goals and eight assists in 46 Championship appearances for QPR this season (per Transfermarkt).

So, in the latest episode of the We Are West Ham Podcast, Edwards aired his excitement over the potential of a West Ham front four which involved Eze when discussing transfer links.

Having mulled over the prospect of buying Eze, Brentford’s Said Benrahma or Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot, Edwards declared his preferred transfer target.

To kick-off this quiz on David Moyes on the hard side, which club was his first game on the touchline at the London Stadium against?

He said: “I think the one out of the three [linked players] you just mentioned, is probably Eze, I think he’ll be exciting. We’ve got [Grady] Diangana, one of the standout players in the Championship, he’s absolutely brilliant to watch.

“Whoever’s watched [Diangana] playing at West Brom this year, he’s made the difference in the game the other day, whoever it was against, to get West Brom promoted. He got a goal and an assist, he’s clearly a big-game player, he’s clearly got a lot of bottle about him as well.

“So, a front four of him, Eze and [Jarrod] Bowen with [Michail] Antonio up there; all English, the three behind Antonio, [they’re] all young, hungry, all got potential. I think it’s quite an exciting proposition.

“So for me, he’s probably the one I want to get in most, Eze. I think he’s a classy operator.”

TIF Thoughts…

Evidently, Eze’s stellar 7.36/10 average rating for QPR in the Championship this season has convinced Edwards that the attacker would be a good purchase for the Hammers.

Would you be happy if West Ham signed Eberechi Eze from QPR this summer?

No, he's not good enough

Yes, he's a good player

Yes, he's a good player

If the 22-year-old forward can replicate the 6.99/10 average rating that Bowen delivered after stepping up to the Premier League should West Ham sign him, then that would certainly prove Edwards right.
