Moyes spent some time discussing his club captain in his pre-match press conference ahead of the game, and the 57-year-old Scottish coach was full of praise for Noble.
As per Football.london, Moyes described the 33-year-old midfielder as: “Reliable, resilient, [and] a leader. In the situation we are in, we need Mark Noble.”

TIF Thoughts…
According to WhoScored, 13 other Hammers players have earned a higher average overall rating than Noble during the 2019/20 campaign. This might not make many West Ham supporters think of the 33-year-old midfielder as being incredibly vital to their team at present.
However, given that Noble, who is valued at £4.32 million (as per Transfermarkt), has been a West Ham player for more than 16 years, making him the longest-serving player of any Premier League club at present, it may be understandable why Moyes may value Noble’s experience, as the club prepare to fight for top-flight survival in their remaining seven Premier League fixtures this term.
As a result, it might not be a big surprise that the Scottish coach shared praise for Noble in his pre-match press conference ahead of what may be a difficult midweek game for the relegation contenders, against a Chelsea side that will hope to secure an important three points in their chase for a top-four finish.
