To start this quiz on Mark Noble with a tough one, in what year did the midfielder make his league debut for the Hammers?

The piece states that Moyes wants a reunion with the man who played 18 games under the West Ham boss while they were both at Everton.

It states that the Blues rejected a loan bid from Moyes in January for the 26-year-old, but it is claimed that Moyes will go back in for Barkley in the summer.

It is claimed that Moyes is hoping to lure Barkley to the east London with the promise of first-team football to give him a chance of making it into Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the European Championships.

TIF Thoughts…

While Barkley was at Goodison Park, he made 18 appearances for David Moyes and provided two assists – so there is perhaps unfinished business between the pair.

However, this season, the £19.35m-rated midfielder (as per Transfermarkt) has found himself involved in Chelsea’s side, and has made 24 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, in which he has scored four goals and provided four assists.

That said, Chelsea’s midfield already includes the likes of Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as youngsters Mason Mount and Billy Gilmour.

Hence, competition is fierce, and he might see a move to West Ham as the ideal opportunity to gain some more first-team football.

The Blues are also interested in Declan Rice, so it could be argued that Chelsea may be interested in using Barkley as part of any deal for the 21-year-old.

It will be interesting to see if Barkley does end up at the London Stadium ahead of next season.
