To start this quiz on Mark Noble with a tough one, in what year did the midfielder make his league debut for the Hammers?

During the episode, Clarke shared his views on the Englishman.

He said: “It saddens me what’s happened to him because he was so exciting, such a talented player when he burst onto the scene and it is purely injuries that have just multiplied and multiplied and it’s just taken a slight edge off of his game.

“He was electric. He was England’s best midfielder for a short period when he was really on top of his game, and you feel now that maybe he’ll drift down the leagues potentially. I don’t know what’s going to happen with Jack.

“I think he might even be one major injury away from having his career shortened. I hope not, but he’s a talent that should really be operating at the top end of the division but his body just isn’t set up for the rigours of it, unfortunately, he’s just been incredibly unlucky.

“I still think West Ham fans should hold hope that he can recapture some former glory and inspire them. He’s physically just lost that spark. He was quick, he was sharp. One of the reasons he was so brilliant at his best was that he was brighter in his head and his feet than other players and that’s why he kept getting kicked. But the trouble is he’s been kicked so many times, he’s suffered so many other injuries, that his body isn’t up to it.”

Should West Ham get rid of Jack Wilshere this summer?

Yes

Throughout his playing career, Wilshere has suffered numerous injuries.

Since signing to West Ham back in the 2018 summer transfer window on a free transfer from Arsenal, the 28-year-old has only made 17 appearances for the Hammers with injuries disrupting his time at the club.

TIF Thoughts…

It’s a shame that injuries have plagued Wilshere and his career in the Premier League. Whether West Ham will give up on him and move him on this summer is still up in the air.
