How well can you remember Spurs' season so far? - Who did Spurs beat in the opening fixture?

Here’s what Brown had to say about the Argentinian international on the podcast:

“Yeah, I definitely think at the moment, we’ve only seen brilliance in flashes, but there’s certainly been a lot of potential there. That injury [is] always going to be very difficult to play through and that was certainly going to limit his game. He’s only just come into this new system, having had a couple of injury problems. Give him that pre-season and just hope that next season he can really hit the ground running.

“At the moment, it’s only in flashes but, we’ve all seen that there’s certainly potential there. There were definitely moments today. I think it was in that first goal, he definitely showed what a great creative player he is. I’m really excited to see more of him next season and hopefully, he can overcome these injury issues because that is frustrating, and it does seem to be limiting him a bit.

“Overall, you’ve got to be pretty happy with how Lo Celso’s doing. Obviously Mourinho trusts him, [he] wants to keep him on the pitch the whole time and that’s something that’s so important. We spoke about trust and Mourinho really loves players that you can trust and will want to keep them on the pitch. Well, Lo Celso is a guy that’s really proven himself to Mourinho.”

TIF Thoughts…

The former Real Betis man has really established himself as a regular in Mourinho’s side since joining on a permanent deal in the January transfer window.
