Spurs fans on Twitter have been reacting to the news that former Tottenham defender Ledley King is set to become part of Jose Mourinho’s coaching staff.
The 39-year-old, who made 323 appearances for the north London club between 1999-2012 (per Tottenham Hotspur), looks to be the man to replace the outgoing Ricardo Formosinho at the club.
Mourinho confirmed following the draw against Crystal Palace last weekend (per Sky Sports) that: “I don’t think the club will be upset with me by making it official. We are going to replace Ricardo with Ledley King.”
The former England international is regarded as a legend at the north London club, spending his entire career there, and would have surely made significantly more appearances for the club had he not struggled with injuries so much throughout his playing days. These injuries ultimately lead to an early retirement in 2012 at 31 years of age.
After Daily Hotspur shared this news with Lilywhites supporters on Twitter, many flocked to have their say on the former centre-back joining the coaching staff.

If Ledley can pass on even 25% of his ability to read a game to our defenders, then we are looking good.
