Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to salute the performance of Erik Lamela in Wednesday’s 3-1 win against Newcastle United.
The Argentinian, who is now valued at £14.4 million (as per Transfermarkt), featured as a second-half substitute at St. James’ Park and was instrumental in Spurs’ third goal of the evening, as his shot was saved to allow Harry Kane to head in his second. Despite only appearing as a second-half substitute against the Toon, the Argentinian picked up a strong 7.01/10 rating for his performance, so it is no surprise to see Spurs fans singing his praises on Twitter.
So far this season, the former Roma man has contributed two goals and one assist in 24 appearances in the Premier League, averaging a disappointing 6.66 rating (per WhoScored).
